Expanding on version 1.01 by implementing a real time lighting system that would cast shadows and be easy on performance was a challenge but it was realized through the use of render target surfaces and exploiting alpha transparency of objects in a creative way.

The collision handling was improved and bullets would now apply an opposing force pushing enemies away from the user, this would be useful in a situation where you are surrounded.
